* When the new fridge is delivered to your house, you can ask if they can pick up your old one because the company where you buy a new fridge might have this service for free.

* If your area has utility company, you can contact with the company if it picks up old fridge. If old fridge is accepted, set the picking time up. Please noted that you have to prepare the details of your fridge such as the manufacturer, model number, approximate year when it was purchased, dimensions and working condition.

* Ask your local municipal department of public works about bulk trash. Making a schedule of bulk trash to be picked up for your neighborhood. However, you can also be able to take your fridge to your dump or transfer station.

* If the local company or municipal department of public works requires you to remove the refrigerant, you must contact a certified refrigerant technician to do it for you because of the Environmental Protection Agency.

* As an old locking fridge can not be pushed open from the inside, D\do not forget to remove the door first so that children and animals can be safe before setting your fridge out delivery date.
